A Holly Jolly (extended) Holiday Weekend

I do my best to blog as we go, but we've been so busy this past week, it's been hard to keep up!

We spent Christmas, as we usually do with my mom and her folks' place in NW Portland. Brian and I got up early Christmas morning and to grandmother's house we went!
Everyone opens their stocking together. . .
. . . and then it's on to the presents!

Uncle Jim and my mom's sister, Kim opening their loot!

Even Grandma (and Gita) get into the spirit of things!

Little (2nd) cousin, Malia was keeping us all entertained!
There were about 40 of us gathered for the big family meal.
After all that food, we were pretty tuckered out!
Hanging out at Uncle Al and Aunt Teresa's
We hope you all had a splendid holiday with those you love!

Bowling at Wilsonville Lanes with the Joyce family (and Josh)!
12/27

Steve and Aimee Paddon were in town for the holidays so Monday night we had everyone over for dinner (and we surprised Steve for his birthday).
12/28
Friendly Festivities!

We had a full house, our little casa was busting at the seams
but it was great to have everyone over and to catch up!

Jon and Chelsea were also in town (visiting from Colorado), it was so good to see old friends!

Heading up to Mt. Hood!
12/29-12/30
It started snowing in Portland the day we were packing up to head to the mountain!
I am glad I took the day off work, apparently Portlanders had a hard time commuting in the inclimate weather, we had friends who didn't get home until 10:30 at night!
Digging the cars out of the snow!
Josh and Bethany at the mountain, still smiling after their snowboarding lessons!

The cold northwest was a big change from the mild weather Bradley left in Peru, but we're pretty sure he enjoyed being up at the mountain again!
The snow was great, and we all had a ton of fun!
We sure crammed a lot into our holiday, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
