We realize, we're never going to be as ready as we'd like to be/have the house as ready as we'd like by the time baby McD arrives, but there are a few things at the top of the list to get done ASAP:
*Girl name - ready!
*Boy name - ready!
*Once we find out the gender (next month!) we can get going on the guest room→nursery conversion.
*Basement rec room is almost finished!
* Finish organizing the attic
*Bathroom plumbing project - I can handle the state that the kitchen is in... but I need that bathtub functioning by the time baby McD gets here!
*How does Brian not know all of the words to at least one entire nursery rhyme?!
We have lots of practicing to do! ♫ ♫

Don't know if Brian played guitar but I used Christmas as an excuse to give Alex a homemade kids music book with my favorite songs for baby - everything from twinkle twinkle to the Beatles. Do you have a gender guess? I'm going with girl. That's my official vote.
He had lots of nursery rhymes read to him. He did not like to sit still like Mark did and have us read to him until they were in grade school & we read Little House on the Prairie and the Hardy Boy mystery books.
This is cool and all, but where will I be sleeping when I dog sit? You need to add this to your to-do list. Also just to practice, make the hubs read you a nursery book every night so he can memorize them. It's a win win for you Mari.
Hahaha, for some reason Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was the only song I could come up with when I was swaying with Alli around the house at 3am. Of course the hormones were still raging, so I started crying because what kind of mom can't remember any nursery rhymes!? Study up!
