WhirlWindWeekend into a WhirlWindWeek

PHEW! What a week - and it's only Thursday!
This past weekend we babysat this cutie patootie... Maizie W is almost THREE!

We had a slumber party!
Yes, you heard me right.
A SLUMBER PARTY.
She stayed overnight Friday night, which may or may not have included her crawling into our bed at oh, about 5:30 a.m.
Needless to say, Brian and I didn't get a lot of sleep this weekend.

We played with Trooper - we picked figs for the neighbors - played at the park....
and when it was time to meet up with friends at Chapman Elementary to watch the swifts....
Miss M was all tuckered out!

Isn't Brian holding a little sleeping girl just about THE CUTEST thing you've ever seen?!
Love that guy!

There was quite the crowd gathered at the school
and the birds put on a good show!

So much fun with our friends - older and young alike!

We really enjoyed our quiet time on the couch Saturday night ;)

Then - it was back to work on Monday.
I had to commute to Salem Tuesday and Wednesday - my work unit was hosting a conference -
then with birthing class Tuesday night and gospel meeting Wednesday night...
our days were packed.

Salem Police Academy
Where we held our conference.
A beautiful facility with lovely memorials to fallen service men and women.
I think it's time to slow things down for this weekend....
Brian and I are planning on a quiet stay-cation anniversary.
We're pretty excited about it.
