Yard Work Debacle, Part III - The Back Yard

Well, the back yard has actually been less of a debacle than the front.
After Brian worked so hard to till the yard up and remove most of the rocks, this weekend we covered the remaining rocks with a couple of inches of top soil, and laid sod!
Yay for an instant yard!

Dad came in to help me get the dirt sloped just right. . .
We went and picked up about 2000 pounds of top soil that we would use as a base under the sod. . .that poor little trailer was filled to capacity!
We spread about a 2-inch layer of top soil over the yard. . .
Look at that nice rich soil! The yard looks better already!
Brian and I went and picked up 450 sq. feet of cut sod from Oregon Turf&Tree out in Hubbard, Oregon, and we called in the Big Guns to help us lay it out.
My brother Brad and his good buddy Randy were up for the job!

With all of us working on it, it only took up about an hour to get all the sod laid out!
At the sod farm, the only advice they gave us was to "Water the HECK out of it!"
All finished! It looks so great!

While the sprinkler ran, we celebrated our new, beautiful, green lawn with an impromptu backyard BBQ.
The first of many I'm sure!
