We found this really great chair, which is definitely going to be used as my reading lounger (when I ever have time to read again)! Craigslist is the best!
We had lots of help working on the kitchen. Here the boys are rehanging an upper cabinet.
We finished painting and moved in the fridge and the freestanding range. We went with a really rich terracotta color. We are so excited to be able to cook again. I think we've worn out the crock pot and the BBQ!
We found another helper!
Her name is Wickey (like Mickey, but not).
She is a 7 year-old Rottweiler who we found at the Humane Society. Her previous owner had passed away and the man's family was not able to take care of her properly. She had been at the Humane Society for 3 months before we went by to pay a visit. We instantly fell in love with her. She knows some cute tricks and is a really good girl.
She is cuddler and a wonderful addition to our crazy lives right now!
She is still getting used to the house and she follows me and Brian from room to room. She does great in the car and on a leash and most importantly is house trained and sleeps through the night! We really lucked out with such a great dog!

I love the color of the kitchen!
So glad you found a new friend to share your new home with.
Love the chair...I can imagine hours spent reading curled up in it!
What a sweet dog!! Yes, though the puppy stage is "fun" isn't it nice to have a trained and mature dog?! That is what we inherited/adopted too! Wickey is CUTE!!
The house is looking fantastic by the way!!
